Ballerspiel

End User License Agreement (EULA) – Ballerspiel

Preliminary version of 2026-10-07 – legal review in progress. Translation of the German version.

Last updated: October 7, 2026

This agreement is between you and Luckywood Studios UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Berkenbrücker Chaussee 13, 14943 Luckenwalde, Germany ("we"), and covers the game Ballerspiel including updates and the server software (together "the game"). The terms of the platform you bought the game on also apply (Steam Subscriber Agreement or Epic Games Store EULA). Mandatory consumer protection law takes precedence over anything in this agreement.

1. Licence

With your purchase you receive a simple, non-transferable, perpetual right to install and play the game for private, non-commercial purposes. All rights in the game remain with us or our licensors.

2. Your own servers

You may run the dedicated server software we ship or publish free of charge, including publicly, for your community or a LAN party. You may not charge admission or access fees for it without our prior written consent. Whoever runs a server is responsible for it and for the data processed on it.

3. What is not allowed

Server administrators (including us on our official servers) may remove, ban or mute players who break these rules.

4. Online services

Online play uses platform services (Steam, Epic Online Services) and our official servers. We aim for reliable operation but do not guarantee any particular availability of official servers. We may shut down official servers with reasonable notice (at least 3 months); LAN play, your own servers and play against bots are not affected.

5. Updates

Updates are free. They may add or change content or adjust game balance.

6. Warranty and liability

Statutory warranty rights apply.

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation and limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. Otherwise liability is excluded.

7. Third-party software

The game uses the Unreal® Engine. Unreal® is a trademark or registered trademark of Epic Games, Inc. in the United States of America and elsewhere. Unreal® Engine, Copyright 1998–2026, Epic Games, Inc. All rights reserved.

Further licences (fonts, art and sound assets) are listed in the game's credits menu and at ballerspiel.org/licenses. [stage 7: licence inventory]

8. Final provisions

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another country, the protection of that country's mandatory law remains unaffected. If any provision is invalid, the rest of this agreement remains in force.
